What are you studying and why?
I am approaching the defense of my master’s degree in marketing and social communication. I chose these studies as a continuation after my bachelor’s degree in journalism and social communication, which showed me that I want to connect my future with marketing.What interests you most in this industry?
I am most interested in creative solutions and how in many ways one can express oneself and promote various initiatives. I also like that this industry is constantly changing, leaving space for development.What did your first day at the company look like? What were your first impressions?
My first day at the company focused on onboarding matters, such as getting to know the work culture and rules. I learned the programs used for social media work and what my new tasks would be. I immediately really liked the atmosphere at work. I felt that the people I work with are open, positive, and always willing to help me. I also like the nature of the work, which allows for development and emphasizes flexibility.
What projects or tasks did you work on during your internship?
First, I became familiar with the company and its presence on social media, then I was given the task of analyzing competitors’ profiles. Thanks to this, I could feel independent, test myself in creating presentations, and presenting them in a professional environment. One of my tasks was also proposing messages for the company’s social media and submitting comments on the marketing strategy, which made me feel that my opinion has real significance.
What new things did you learn during your internship – both technical and interpersonal skills?
The internship enabled me to use my knowledge and skills in practice. I developed competencies in working with graphic programs and in editing the website. However, I learned the most thanks to the tips and experience shared with me by Ania, which also had a big impact on my interpersonal skills.Did you receive regular feedback and support from your mentor or team?
I could always count on feedback from Ania, who throughout the entire internship made sure that all my questions were answered. She also cared about my comfort at work.How do you assess the team atmosphere? Did you feel like part of the company?
Yes, from the beginning I felt like part of the company, I was included in integration initiatives such as the monthly breakfast. Working with the team was pleasant, everyone welcomed me positively and made sure I found my place in the new environment.
Was there any moment that particularly stayed in your memory?
I especially appreciated that I was given large tasks that I could carry out independently from start to finish. Thanks to this, I felt that the people I work with believe in me and trust my skills, and the moments of presenting the results of my work to others brought me great satisfaction.Did the internship influence your career plans? What would you like to do in the future? What projects?
This internship confirmed my belief that creative work is what I feel most comfortable in. It opened my eyes to what a work environment can look like and made me want to continue working at this company.What skills would you like to develop further in the near future?
If I had to choose, I would like to expand my skills in creating video materials or photography that would be used for promotion on social media. I would like to contribute to the development of the company’s messages so that they are of higher quality and reach a wider audience.
