Mother And Child 2024

We are proud to announce that our BodySens project has been recognized as one of the top 20 solutions in the prestigious MCSC Hospital Leadership Innovation competition, organized by the Institute of Mother and Child. The mission of the initiative is to identify and support the most promising innovations that can transform modern healthcareparticularly those that improve the quality of care and the efficiency of medical staff.

Introducing BodySens

BodySens is our original concept—an innovative, non-invasive electronic patch designed to continuously monitor vital signs in hospitalized patients, particularly children. The system automatically collects data such as body temperature and perspiration levels, and transmits it wirelessly to a central monitoring platform. This ensures medical teams receive accurate, real-time data without the need for manual intervention.

The device was developed to support healthcare staff in their daily work while improving comfort and care for the most vulnerable patients.

How It Works

The system is built around a flexible, skin-safe electronic sticker that is discreetly placed on the patient’s body. It delivers:

  • Continuous temperature and humidity monitoring
  • Wireless data transmission to a cloud-based system
  • Battery life of up to 365 days
  • Automatic alerts in case of abnormal readings, enabling faster medical response

By eliminating the need for manual temperature checks every few hours, BodySens allows medical teams to focus on more urgent and complex tasks.

Why BodySens?

The advantages of BodySens extend across several critical areas of hospital care:

  • Precision and Efficiency: Traditional methods of monitoring vital signs require frequent interruptions and up to 5 minutes per measurement. BodySens provides real-time data and eliminates the need for repeated manual interventions.
  • Patient Comfort: The system’s non-invasive nature is especially beneficial for young patients, who often undergo frequent, uncomfortable examinations.
  • Support for Medical Personnel: Automated data collection reduces the burden on medical staff, helping streamline workflows and improve response times to critical changes in a patient’s condition.

Practical Applications and Testing Environment

BodySens is designed primarily for use in hospital settings, where accurate and continuous monitoring is vital. The Institute of Mother and Child, which focuses on pediatric and maternal health, provides an ideal testing ground to validate and adapt this technology to the daily realities of clinical care.

The system supports pilot studies, allowing hospitals to gather real-world data, assess usability, and refine the solution before broader implementation.

Recognition and Next Steps

Being selected among the top 20 solutions in the MCSC competition is a significant step forward. It confirms the relevance of our innovation and highlights the growing need for smart, patient-centric technologies in healthcare.

We are grateful for this recognition and look forward to working with medical institutions and partners to bring BodySens into wider use—improving care outcomes, increasing operational efficiency, and advancing the future of non-invasive patient monitoring.
