Design Talks Business 2024
In late November 2024, Embedded Systems.do proudly participated in the Design talks Business Sustainability Summit, held at the Pomeranian Science and Technology Park in Gdynia. This international summit is a premier platform where design professionals, business leaders, and sustainability experts come together to exchange knowledge, inspire innovation, and build lasting networks.
The two-day event focused on the powerful role of design-driven strategies in accelerating sustainable transformation across industries. Attendees included agents of change—entrepreneurs, designers, managers, and innovators—who shared their insights and experiences in overcoming the challenges of embedding sustainability into organizational processes.
Exploring Sustainability Through Design
The summit’s agenda was rich and varied, providing numerous opportunities for learning and collaboration. Sessions included inspiring keynote speeches, hands-on workshops, dynamic panel discussions, and interactive Q&A sessions. Moreover, the event fostered meaningful connections through creative networking formats, such as thematic roundtablesand the engaging “dinner with a stranger” experience, encouraging cross-disciplinary conversations.
The focus was clear: by applying design methodologies in business contexts, companies can develop innovative solutions that not only meet economic goals but also contribute to environmental and social responsibility.
Presenting the ESLOG System
A highlight of Embedded Systems.do’s participation was the presentation by Janusz Skóra Cichowski, who spoke on November 29 at 13:15 during Block 6: “Creativity as a Future Resource and a Game Changer in the Transformation of Products, Services, and Processes.” Janusz introduced the audience to our ESLOG system, an innovative solution designed to monitor food safety during transport.
The ESLOG system combines advanced sensors with smart labels featuring QR codes to continuously monitor transport conditions such as temperature and humidity. This real-time monitoring helps ensure food quality and safety throughout the supply chain, supporting sustainable logistics and reducing waste. Our system provides transparent, accessible data to stakeholders, enabling faster response to any issues that may arise during transportation.
Sustainability Community
Design talks Business is more than a summit—it is a year-round network dedicated to advancing sustainable practices through design and business collaboration. The summit in Gdynia is complemented by DtB Meetings held in various Polish cities throughout the year, fostering ongoing dialogue and knowledge sharing.
